The Rimington Trophy committee is proud to announce the recipients of the 2014 Rimington Award, recognizing the most outstanding centers in the NCAA’s FCS, Division II, Division III and NAIA. The Rimington Award is named after Dave Rimington, the only two-time winner of the Outland Trophy in addition to back to back first team All-American selections for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Auburn center Reese Dismukes was awarded the 2014 Rimington Trophy, given to the nation’s most outstanding center, on Thursday December 11, 2014 at the ESPNU Red Carpet Show preceding the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show.

 The Rimington Trophy Committee has announced its 2014 Trophy finalists.

The Rimington Trophy Committee has released its 2014 Spring Watch List, which includes 64 of the best centers in Division I football.

"He said that (his son) Gunnar’s been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. He was looking to do something to fight it in a big way, and thought maybe he’d start his own foundation. He said if he does that, would I consider coming back to New York (from living in Hong Kong) and helping him. I took about two seconds and said, ‘Sure! Anything I can do to help out.’”
